  1. First, you might consider all of your options for holding gold, not just coins. My long answer to the following discusses many of these: "Which of these is the most secure way to invest in gold and why?" http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkZIwraIu71_29hhkol0tmvsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080718000120AAehxfE Second, some reputable Internet dealers in gold bullion coins include: Monex http://www.monex.com Kitco http://www.kitco.com APMEX http://www.apmex.com/ There are many others, so you might do some Internet searches of discussions around this topic. But you could start by visiting the websites of the three dealers above.
  2. eBay & your local shop Keep in mind! 1) your local shop may charge sales tax 2) buying online you pay shipping 3) always shop around and compare, decide how much you want to best decide what's the best deal 4) if you can afford gold, you can afford silver, consider silver too (it's much cheaper, more rare today and easier to liquidate)
  3. i had luck with these sites. the prices determined by auction so you get really good deals. http://www.canadiangoldauctions.com/ http://www.worldgoldauctions.com/
