Gold Bullion Bars Knowledge Base
Where to buy gold bullion bars in New York City? It seems it is impossible to find this information on the internet. I do not want to buy from online stores. Calling such banks as Chase and Bank of America did not help, they did not even know what I am talking about and transferred me around 10 times each before saying "we do not sell gold bars".
Gold bullion bars. Worth buying as an investment? Will these things go up in value better than my bank will give me interest? Also is it safe to keep them in a safe in my house or should I keep them in a storage box at the bank? What's your opinion?
Can we buy gold bars in the US, and if so where? I know that in 1933 FDR stole everyone's gold and replaced it "fiat" federal reserve notes. But what I don't know is if it is legal to purchase gold bars of unlimited quantity today in the US. I know you can buy and own gold bullion coins but what about bars of gold. I have heard many stories about this but I have yet to find any concrete evidence that it is legal to buy and own gold bars in unlimited quantity. I am talking about walking into a place of business putting down money and walking out with physical bars of gold. I don't think you can do that... Am I wrong?
Where can I find gold bullion on east coast? I remember about ten years, you could take $10,000 to the treasury department and get a gold bar, but things have changed. I've been out of the states and gold is much more accessible overseas. I know Austin Rare Coins is still a good place, but does anyone know of places in New York, or D.C.?
Where can I buy gold and silver bars, coins and bullions? Exactly, what is a bullion? Is it like a coin? I was wondering where online I can buy gold and silver bars and coins. Would I physically owned them? Or would they sit on a vault somewhere? Also, how can I make sure that the gold or silver I buy is real and not fake? Thanks.
Buying Gold Bullion.? I am looking at buying a 1/2 oz .9999 PURE GOLD BULLION BAR. This will be the first time i have purchased gold. I wanted to know. This time i am going to buy this as a gift for my wife to have jewellery made from it and in the future for investment. Would this type of purchase be ok for converting to jewellery? Another question about the same bullion. Generally what grade of gold is sold in bullion form. 9ct, 18ct, 24ct.

where to sell gold bullion / dore from dental scrap gold to? I've melted lots of dental scrap into an ingot / gold bar and refined it using a home refining system. its 99.98% gold. where can i sell it to? I saw others on Ebay which sold for a lot less than the gold spot price (ie, spot was $20/gram and other home-made bars were selling for roughly $16/gram only) The only ones selling for a good price were the stamped ones from Metalor, Suisse, etc. Since I made it myself, what do I do with it? I tried selling some before to refiners I found online like Midwest Refineries and Garfield, but the return was NOT as advertised. They claimed I would get 94%-96% of the value but they really only gave me like 60% - scammers, to say the least. Anyways, does anyone have experience with a reputable gold buyer for non-minted gold bullions? Allso, I have a good amount of palladium which is about half the price of gold - who can buy that at a good price? Thanks im dealing with about 50 oz. what is the minimum for a known refining company to refine my gold, and do you know what rates they charge?

Where can I sell a one-ounce, .999 pure gold bar around the spot price of gold? I tried calling coin shops and jewelers and they would only give me $600 (or roughly 95% of gold's current spot price, $632/oz). All of the online precious metals companies buy gold in bulk (minimum = 10 oz). And I don't feel comfortable making such a large transaction on eBay after having a few bad experiences buying/selling tickets to sporting events. Is there anywhere that I would be able to sell my gold bullion for at least $620?
Where in the United States can you buy gold bars or coins? I would like to know what is the best way to buy gold coins or bullion in the U.S. I am not a coin collector; I don't care about that stuff. I want legit, recognized, gold coins that I can purchase from a reputable place with their certificate and KEEP with me - not have a piece of paper saying I own them and they are locked in some vault somewhere. Just as a form of security and piece of mind for me, I guess. I also thought about giving them as gifts to my small nieces and nephews rather than toys etc. once in a while. Does anyone know what is the best way to go about doing this? I don't really care where the coins are from as long as they are authentic, certified, etc. It is legal too, right? To buy coins from here or anywhere else? I'm obviously very ignorant about the subject. I had thought about doing this about 4 years ago when the price was like $400 per ounce, now I check and it is like $1000 and I want to kick myself for not buying then. Thanks! By the way, I realize that the price of gold is ridiculously high right now, so I probably won't be buying very soon, but I would like to buy when it is reasonable again.

Benefits of gold/silver coins over bullion? I have heard that the development of money in Lydia in the first millennium BC was a major development in history. How so? What major benefit would any society have if it used gold and silver coins in everyday transactions, compared to small gold and silver bars? I'm thinking about the ancient societies where money was developed, not about modern times.

Can anyone help me with this problem about a gold coin? I was looking online and I see a lot of these gold coins that say bar/scrap/bullion after it and I have no clue what it means. Is it a face value or what? $20 ST GAUDENS GOLD MINI COIN RARE BAR/SCRAP/BULLION NR Thank you for that. also, that coin is worth $20 right now? or has the value of it dropped, because they are being sold for like $1-$5 a piece.
Can/How Can I buy Copper and/or Tin Bullion? People invent in precious metals because they have intrinsic value that will remain, even after say a nuclear Holocaust. While gold/silver have a lot of value, I was thinking that I could probably do better with copper and tin, they are easy to work with, and you can make bronze quite easily with them. I am aware that buying copper and tin is a poor investment decision, and won't really help me in a survival situation, but what I want to know, is it possible to buy bars of copper and tin (say one or two), and where would I do it? I say again, I want these bars purely for fun, not as any rational investment. Thank you.
